LGBT Community Center

October is LGBT History Month and what a great way to celebrate that by highlighting the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland. The Center just completed their expansion and moved into their new building this summer. It was originally founded in 1975! It has moved around town throughout the years but today makes its home in Gordon Square.

The LGBT Community Center serves an advocate for the LGBTQ community offering resources, programming and collaborations with other organizations in Cleveland. On Thursday, October 24, they are hosting a talk featuring Oscar winning producer, Howard Rosenman, a gay Jewish filmmaker in partnership with the Maltz Jewish Heritage Museum.

The Center hosts support groups, offers HIV testing, exercise classes and 12 step groups. They promote safe, positive sexual awareness and health as well as provide a community for people of all ages, genders, and orientations to feel welcome and supported. The Center is located in the heart of Gordon Square near the Capitol theater, Sweet Moses Soda Fountain & Sweet Shop and Luxe Kitchen & Lounge.

Tours of Cleveland is a small, gay owned, local business providing exciting and educational walking tours of beautiful and historic downtown Cleveland. Our tours are year round. Christmas tours start after Thanksgiving! See our schedule and book at www.toursofcleveland.com.
