Museum Day, sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine, is Saturday, September 22, 2018. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free admission to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket (good for two people). Here in Cleveland this will include the Cleveland History Center and the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. The Cleveland History Center features the Cleveland Starts Here exhibit that traces Cleveland’s history from 1796 to the present. It also includes the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, the original Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel (which you can ride) and the Bingham-Hanna & Hay-McKinney Mansions that you can tour!
In Cleveland we have several museums that are always free (not just on Museum Day)! They include the Cleveland Museum of Art, the International Women’s Air & Space Museum, the Cleveland Police Museum and the Cleveland Hungarian Museum. Stay tuned for upcoming features of each of these museums.
