On Sunday, April 28, 2019 I had the privilege to attend a tea at Gray’s Armory in downtown and hear Dan Ruminski speak about Millionaire’s Row. The tea was the first of a series of events at Gray’s Armory as part of their Living History Program.
The event was truly delightful. The tea and the food served were wonderful. We were assigned tables and I got to sit with the best bunch of people; had so much fun the ladies at my table! And Dan Ruminski – Wow! If you ever have the opportunity to hear him, go! He is known as Cleveland’s storyteller.
His story focused on Millionaire’s Row. The most beautiful street in the world, according to Mark Twain. He talked not only about the beautiful homes but the folks that lived there and most importantly what they did for the community. Things like the Cleveland Art Museum, Severance Hall and the Cleveland Clinic would not be possible if not for their contributions and their strong belief in giving back to their community.
I always love a chance to learn more about our great city. If you want to learn more about Cleveland, join us on one of our walking tours of downtown Cleveland. Visit www.toursofcleveland.com
