A wonderful hidden gem in the Cleveland area (Lakewood) is the Museum of Divine Statues. I had the pleasure of visiting this past weekend. The museum is a collection of artwork from area Catholic churches that have since closed. The collection includes statues, stained glass, mosaics, relics and wood carvings. Some pieces date as far back as 1855.
The Museum of Divine Statues also works to restore these beautiful works of art. The museum is in what was St. Hedwig Church. It opened back in 2011. It is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays and available for group tours during the week. Check out their website to learn more.
