Did you know that if you live in Cuyahoga County, Mondays at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo are free (except holidays). Yesterday, my husband and I went and took advantage of the free admission and all the wonderful things the Cleveland zoo has to offer.
The weather was perfect for a walk through the Metropark. We saw a fantastic show at the Savannah theater involving some pretty impressive birds. It was the middle of the day so most of the big cats and bears were taking their afternoon siesta but we saw so many great creatures like the elephants, meerkats, flamingos, wallabies, and rhinos. One of the highlights was getting up close and personal with the giraffes. The exhibit allows you to feed the giraffes and get eye level with them.
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is great anytime but remember, if you are a Cuyahoga county resident, bring your ID and get in free on Mondays!
