Each year the Allen theater in downtown Cleveland hosts the Festival of Trees. The lobby of the Allen is filled with a over 25 Christmas trees sponsored by various organizations and individuals, each uniquely decorated. There are even visits with Santa, special music performances and a lot of photo ops. The festival is sponsored by Cleveland Play House, the oldest professional regional theater company in the US!
My Favorite Tree this Season
The Festival of Trees is one of my favorite holiday spots in Cleveland. It is where our Christmas walking tour ends. This year, my favorite tree has to be the tree from sponsored by Cleveland Magazine and designed by Plantation Home Lakewood; it sums up our walking tour in this great tree! It is decorated with pictures of Mr. Jingeling, the Sterling Lindner tree, a Twigbee bear and bags and boxes from the May Company, Halle’s and all the other grand old department stores of Christmas past.
