Christmas would not be complete without watching “A Christmas Story” on TV. Cleveland has a long history with the movie. A Christmas Story House is here in Tremont; they filmed all the exterior shots of the house for the movie there. Today you can visit the house for a tour, check out the museum and wonderful gift shop, even spend the night next door in the Bumpus House.
Don’t forget that the Christmas parade was filmed in Public Square. Look for the the Soldier’s and Sailor’s Monument in the scene. And of course Higbee’s was the department store where Ralphie went to see Santa.
