Last summer I was lucky enough to go to the Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. It was amazing! Well, good news the Festival has returned this summer and with over 40 all new displays! The Asian Lantern Festival runs Thursday through Sunday evenings from now until July 28, 2019. Hours are 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
Whether it is a family outing, date or gathering of friends everyone will have a good time! The lanterns are placed all throughout the zoo in its different habitats like the African Savanna, the Asian Highlands and Waterfowl Lake. This year the exhibit includes a 100 foot long shark tunnel, a 30 foot tall giant panda and an huge display of Chinese pagodas.
Pictures featured here are from my visit last year. I hope to make it out again this summer and get some new photos. Tickets can be purchased on the zoo’s website. Individual tickets and family packs are available and a discount is given if you purchase online.
